This may be the family I am currently researching for one of my wife's cousins. Part of where I need assistance is from the 1880 US census, Africa District, Spalding Co, ED115, Pg23, Lines 34-37. A William is listed with son Robert and an older daughter-in-law named Lavonia (I think) and a grandson Henry P. The grandson is Henry Parks Griffin, but I'm not sure who his father was. I'm pretty sure it's not Robert as he would have been 9yo at Henry's birth. So who is the father of Henry? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
