I am searching for data concerning James P. Davis in the 1860 census of Spalding Co., Georgia. May be James Polk Davis. He is residing with the Maynard Family. In 1870 he is not there. Did he die during the war? In 1880 James M. Davis and wife, Ann America Gordon were in Line Creek Dist. With one son and 5 daughters. Also residing with them were Lark and Bartow Maynard. The Maynard's were cousins to the Davis family. Through which family were the Maynard's related to the Davis family? Where are James and Ann Davis buried? Any help or suggestions appreciated.
