N.C. on 29 Sep.,1786 and his daughter, Nancy Williams married Willis King in Bulloch County 0n 30 Dec., 1813. William Williams and his sons were from Duplin County, N.C. William and his son David both served in the Revolutionary War and are listed in the book, "Revolutionary War Records of Duplin-Sampson Counties". A Seth Williams is also a Rev.War soldier but I do not know if he is the same Seth. William Williams and all his family apparently migrated to the Screven area after 1806 as William is on an 1806 tax record from Duplin.David Williams and other members of his fmily migrated to Irwin County by 1820 along with Willis King and his wife, Nancy Williams,(on 1820 Irwin census). The! home of David Williams served as the first courthouse in Irwin County when it was established in 1820. Early histories of Irwin have several mentions of David Williams and Willis King. David Williams died in tne 1830's and is buried in Ben Hill County in, I believe, an unmarked grave. I have heard that there is a Rev,War grave marker placed at a church thought to be near David's grave site.Other than Nancy who married my ancestor,I have very little further on the later Williams family. I have info, gained from others,on this Williams family that goes back to 16th century if anyone is interested.
