    1. [GASCREVE] Another William Taylor land survey & plat from 1788

    3. Hi Folks, Here's another plat prepared for William Taylor in 1788. It was situated near Kemp's Branch on the north side of Brier Creek. This would have been near Solomon Kemp (either the Tory or his son who became Sheriff of Screven Co.), east of present-day Hiltonia - most likely. This plat for 100 acres is also adjacent to a land parcel he already has. I used the search function at the GA SOS archives webpage to look through results of searching with the phrase "Brier Creek". I also checked the phrases "Briar Creek" and "Bryar Creek". This brings up results from the upper portion of Screven County (in early years this was Burke County) and through much of Burke County.
