Thanks to Scottie, Ann, and Jessie for the info on the Bascom Cemetery. I have access to the book, "Footprints on the Sands of Time" and will check out the transcription of the Bascom Cemetery in that book. Jessie: the photos of the tombstones came out very well. Thanks for posting them to Find-A-Grave. I'm guessing that the people I am looking for are buried in unmarked graves, since their tombstones are not in the photos (unless they are behind the fence that Jessie mentioned). The family I am looking for is the Vickery family. One of my Joyner kin married a Vickery and I have seen death certs that indicate that at least a few members of this family were buried in this cemetery. Hi Tom, Would those Vickery folks be descendants of Hezekiah Vickery, Revolutionary War soldier? He appears in the pension application of Benjamin Taylor and lived near a son of Benjamin in the 1820 & 1830 censii of Screven County. Dale E.
