Randy and Scotty, I vaguely recall also hearing that the James brothers had relatives in Georgia. Back to the Halls in Gadsden Fl, I did find an indirect tie to the James family. A James Hilton Hall died in 1837 in Gadsden Fl. He was a son of William Hall born 1737 Duplin NC and his third wife Catherine Moulton/Molton. William's first wife was Margaret Pearsall, daughter of Edward Pearsal and Catherine James. Another Hall that I found living in Gadsden Fl was a Jane Kenan Hall, third wife of William Hall Jr who was born in 1772 in Duplin NC. His first wife was Mary Houston and his second wife was Nancy Rutledge. William died in 1825 in NC and Jane then moved to Gadsden Fl, presumably because she had family there. In 1850 her nephew Lafayette Kenan was living with her and was her heir after her death in 1858. These Halls were all from Duplin NC, where James Alexander Bowen was also from. I don't know if either of these Halls were related to the Juniper Hall family or not, I am trying to find out if they might have been related. Besides Mary Jane who married James Alexander Bowen, her brother Iradell also lived in Gadsden Fl. Iradell married Narcissus Hendry in 1858 in Gadsden Fl. Narcisssus was a daughter of Alexander and Margaret Henrdry, who I think were from the Screven/Bulloch Co area. Iradell's second wife was Arabella Johnston, who had ties I believe to the Kenans and some other of the Duplin NC families. I am also tracking some Halls in Leon Co Fl, in particular a Major William Hall who moved there in 1824 from Pulaski Co Ga. I think he is the William Hall who married Jane Adams in 1805 in Tattnall Co Ga. They had a son named John Choice Hall (also the name of my 2great-grandfather) b 1807 whopossibly was the John Choice Hall who married Mary Louise Blackshear. He married Martha McGriff in 1832. Another of William and Jane's children apparently was Queen Ann Hall who married Augustus Harris Johnson b Emanuel Co Ga whose mother was a Lanier with ties to Screven/Bulloch. I do think these Halls had to be related to Juniper, but so far haven't been able to trace William Hall further back. Living three doors away from William Hall in 1830 was Green Hill Chaires whose first wife, Hannah Hathaway Averitt was killed in an Indian attack. His second wife was Susan Kornegay, widow of Kindred Hall. Kindred Hall was an heir and most likely a son of Juniper Hall Sr. Kindred lived in Thomas Co Ga. I also think William and Jane had a son named William and one named Robert H Hall (married Mary Cosby). Does anyone have information on any of these people? Carol B. Miller
