Very Interesting!!!! I am especially interested in the slaves that were sold as I have good evidence that my Paris ancestry may have been slaves at Millhaven plantation. Any other references to slave in these documents would be of tremendous interest to me! If you can direct me to where I can find may be more information, it would be greatly appreciated Thanks. -----Original Message----- From: gascreve-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:gascreve-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Dale E. Since I'm the Paris -and- the Parris list admin, along with being a GASCREVE (Screven County, Georgia) list member - then I thought that these messages should be shared with such lists. I do happen to know that Francis Paris sold his mill property on Brier Creek to Augusta attorney Seaborn Jones in 1795. So, some or all of the described sheriff's property sales was cancelled prior to 1795. However, other such property / tax sales may be new to us. Dale E.
