A while back one of the respondents to this site mentioned a Solomon Kemp. I had picked up a piece of data that possibly a Solomon Kemp had married Bathsheba Gross in Screven Co. If true i'd like to hear from you concerning what time frame did she live. I have been trying for years to determine the surname of a Bathsheba who married my G G G Grandfather, William T. Scott, Sr, from Screven co but married her there or in Decatur Co., Ga where he had migrated to abt 1827. This marriage, his second or third, came abt 1830 after the census taker had enumerated William in Decatur Co. He died abt 1834. She remarried in Dec/ Co to William Day; by 1850 Jackson Co., Fl census she was widowed again. She was born in Alabama abt 1798 and died by the 1860 census. Randy
