Hey Carole, Try figuring out which Little Ogeechee River it is making an appearance in a plat from circa the 1790s through early 1800s. 1) Is it the Little Ogeechee River in Chatham and Effingham Counties? 2) Is it the Little Ogeechee River in Screven County (now known as Ogeechee Creek)? 3) Or is it the Little Ogeechee River in Hancock & Washington Counties? Then there's Eden (in southwest Effingham County) versus Eden's Gardens (1760s period Eatton's Gardens) along the Ogeechee River in Bulloch County. Confusion is often worse than a dead end...
