Thanks, Sharon. Sherrod Scott MAY have been originally named Sherwood but in the twang and brevity of good Southern speech Sherwood became Sherrod, sometimes Sherd. Sherrod is a Biblical name. In Hebrew I think it means " one who will not be easily traced in geneaology by his G G Grand Nephew "! yuck yuck! Is Baptist Scott's grave site known?
