    3. Charlotte, that what happens when I don't look at my notes....NO, you are correct about E. R.'s first wife being Malvina Donal(d)son. I have John Donalson marrying Agnes Peel. John's birth date March 1773, and Agnes's birth date 23 January 1773, from the John Donalson Family Bible. John died 19 Nov 1826, and Agnes died 4 July 1836. I show 12 children, Elizabeth b. 29 Feb 1792; Jane b. 17 Dec 1793; William b. 13 Feb 1796; John b. 21 Feb 1797; Jesse Isam b. 8 May 1800; Mary b. 23 Jun 1802; Sarah b. 24 Mar 1805; Jonathan b. 28 Feb 1807; Asa b. 28 Mar 1809; James Madison b. 13 Sept 1810; Ruben b. 17 Jul 1812; and Nancy b. 19 Mar 1816. Elijah Remer Young was born Sept 1788, and died 30 Jan 1860 and is buried in the Jones/Young cemetery at Greenwood Plantation in Thomas County, GA. Mary Donalson died 10 Feb 1853. They married 8 March 1827 in Decatur County, GA. They had several children who died in infancy, and one being Levinia Jane Young b. 23 Dec 1827, died 21 Jan 1828. The child who did survive was Malvina Carolina Donalson, b. 29 April 1829, and who married 21 Dec 1847, at Roselawn Plantation, Decatur County, GA, John M. Potter. Changing gears, the Youngs parents as far as I have strongly speculated are: Isaac Young and Martha Bradley of Christ Church Parish, then Savannah. Martha Bradley was the sister of Jane Bradley who married Col. John Barnard in London c. 1743, so you can tell they are much older than the Elijah Remer Young generations. William Young so far is the son of this Isaac Young the younger and Martha Bradley. HOWEVER, with all the massive numbers of children and grandchildren in this Young family, including E. R. above, there is not ONE named Isaac, which slows me down considerably to say that without a doubt our William Young who married Mary Henderson, daughter of Michael Henderson who married Elizabeth Remer in NJ in 1764, is absolutely the son of Isaac Young and Martha Bradley. The will of Isaac Young, dated 1766, but not administered until sometime after 1775 in Savannah, administration papers missing at this point in time...great frustration, believe me, does show a William Young as a son, as well as an Isaac and several daughters. Is this our William??? Probably so, but I'd like to see more concrete proof. So far I have the following linked, not set in stone, but linked nonetheless <g> Isaac Young [I'll call him Senior] who married Sarah Mounce, daughter of Thomas Mounce...came over to Sav with 'wife and 7 children' c. 1734 Their son Isaac Young, already born upon arrival of family to Savannah; This Isaac Young married Martha Bradley, older sister to Jane Bradley Barnard, above; Their son William, I think William married Mary Henderson c. 1783, most say Savannah although I have found no documentation to support it except an online Bible record; And then all the present Youngs and Hendersons that are traceable via census records and other extant county records. Let me know your questions. It's always great to get another perspective of these families, believe me! Carol, Do I need to make corrections? I show Elijah Remer Young's wife as Malvina Donaldson. Was there another marriage to a Peel? His daughter is named Malvina. I also have his grandparents as Isaac Young, Jr. and Martha Bradley. Was Isaac's first name Wm., with possibly a first wife, Miss Remer, the mother of the children? If so when did Isaac and Martha marry? Or do I have Remer's father Wm. linked incorrectly? Thanks a million for any help....CY ____________________________________________________________________________ ________ Never miss a thing.
