I wrote down the title but not the author. The title is An Intelliegent Student's Guide to Burke County Georgia History. I also found another description in A History of Burke County, Georgia 1777-1950 by Albert M Hillhouse. There comments are: Hillis: A post office established bewteen Mobley's Pond and Waynesboro. Henry C. Hillis was the first postmaster. Later the name became attached to the community it served. In 1900, population stood at 104. I copied both of these from reference books at the Genealogical Library in Augusta, Ga. Hope it helps. Cheryl Flowers
