Hello, I was just looking at a copy of the 1911 map of Screven Co. and could not yet find either 'Hillis' or 'Haides.' If you have a 1895 map of the county then this would also include part of what is now Jenkins Co. Could Hillis be to the West of the bend in the county line that now occurs at Beaver Dam Creek. None of the names for school districts appears to be a close match for your two names. There are 42 of them and the Hurst district (#5) with its church and school lies Northwest of Hiltonia and West of Millhaven. I'll keep looking at the names for the Post Offices shown on the map. But, nothing seems to match up so far. Dale E. Evidentally my Great grand Mother was living there in 1903. I would like to try and find out who she might have been living with. > > Barb
