Selma, it might be possible that he was from Screven Co. or Tattnall County, originally from the Augusta, GA, Beach Island, SC area. There is alot of bantering back and forth on the GA-SCREVE-L@rootsweb.com list as well as some fellow Greene researchers on the GA-ROOTS-L@rootsweb.com list. If I come across any specific info on Lewis Green, I will forward. It is not my line, but sometimes I feel like ALL the Greene's were at some point.
