He was married in 1800 to Miss Elizabeth SCOTT and located on plantation adjoining his father and lived there until five years ago when he moved into Sparta. He served 1792-93 as a volunteer in the Georgia State Troups with rank of Lieut. In 1813 he volunteered for service against the Creek Indians and was attched to Gen FLOYD'S command and the company he cammanded was assigned to scouting. Leaves a wife and numerous circle of relatives and firends. Nov. 29, 1832."
