Yes. (Heaven Forbid) John Owen Smith is my Ggrandfather. He was married to Sarah Josette Mock b. 1856 in Screven Co. He was b. 1843 in England and was from Savannah perhaps. Anyway, they were married before 1879 because that is the first child born of their marriage that I can find. I owuld like to find a record of their marriage because I can't find anything on him before I see their first child. Since she was 23 at that birth she may have had a previous husband or maybe they had other children. He was probaly married before that also but I don't know that. If you can find John or Sarah, it would be a big help to me. No rush. Thanks. Those after 1860 are few and far between. Please send one surname at a time! If it is a surname like (heaven forbid) SMITH or BROWN a first name might prove helpful.. AND PLEASE give me a day or so to get back to you. PLEASE!! PLEASE SEND ALL REQUESTS TO MY PERSONAL EMAIL ADDRESS! Don't want to cause conflict on the list! I will reply to your address unless the list members don't mind having replies sent to the list as well. Let me know!
