    3. Hi Judy - This is the information I have on the LANIER family. It does not answer your question, hopefully it will be helpful to TULLIS researchers. Major Lewis LANIER 1st m. Ann BUTLER; 2nd m. Esther BUTTS THORN (THORNE) in 1803. He and Esther had three children. I read somewhere that Lewis was married 4 times. Children of Lewis and Esther: Isaac LANIER (b. 1806) m. Sarah A. HURST (b. 1813) married March 11, 1833 in Effingham Co. Ga. Mary E. LANIER m. James L. HILTON Noel (Neel) LANIER (b. 1811) m.
