    3. Hi tom, yes I printed out the recent Coursey info that was on screven list. Saved it for future reference. so far it appears that our Courseys do not connect. Believe me, I wish that they did. I have made two local phone calls to Coursey families still residing here. One was definately either of ours. The second recommended party was not home, so I will have to try again on that one. Ihe coursey that I am "chasing" onlu go back to 1880 here in Effingham county-so far. Emmett S. Coursey b. 1-254-1880 and died in April of 1951, here in same County. Until I can locate the name of his parents I am a little lost to connect him to amyone. His wife kate A Dixon has provided me with two contacts that more about that line than the Courseys. Emmett S. Coursey had two sons that I know of. Charles sylvester Coursey and Herman G. coursey. Neither of these sons lived long than the age of two years. Dot Simpson's info tells me that her material and mine have to cross here somewhere, as she even remembers her grandmother speak of the little towns that are here in the county. A wilson line and Dugger line also appear in her genealogy. We need Emmett's dad. Perhaps some of the locals can help us out here. I can't seem to find any Screven connection yet. There appears to be another distinct Coursey here, also. None of their names have surfaced in anyones material that has filtered through the Screven or Effingham research list. And they are buried in a little cemetery just outside of Springfield, in their own little space. Well, all we can do is keep phugging away at this! If i find out anything new I shall post it on both county lists.
