Yes, i am familiar with emmett S. Coursey. Myr records and that of Effingham County state that he was born in 1880 and died in 1951. He was the son of C.S. Coursey. would love to exchange info with anyone related to this family. I have Emmett but no info on his wife, yet. I do have and olde newspaper article that Emmett place in the Springfield Heralds. His father, elderly at the time of the article, had disappeared from their home in Egypt Ga. about two weeks prior. C.S. olace the little article to ask for the communitys help in locating him. I believe that this was in 1913. Two years later another article appeared. It appears that a Hunter had while hunting in the wood, found the remains and personal articles of C..S Coursey. Some two years later the mystery was finally solved. Does this time frame fit in with your Emmett Coursey? I can also check the county records for his marriage to a Kate Dixon.
