Victoria: As you probably already know. The Howells; Caleb, Philip, William and I am sure other names of males appear in your records. They all got land grants and settled around the area of Buck Creek and Old River Road, between there and the Savannah River. This was in the early 1760's and so they naturally would have married into a Salzburger Family at some time down the line. There is some mention of them in the "Ebenezer Record Book" on pg. 41 is one instance, the birth of another Philip b: Nov. 10, 1767 and baptized Aug.3,1769 son of Thomas Howell and his wife Elizabeth (she may have been a Dasher, this is not clear). There are other Howells in the blood line of Salzburgers listed in "Georgia Salzburgers and Allied Families" written by Pearl Rahn Gnann. Most libraries in our area have copies of these books and I am sure they may be found in many libraries around the country. So to answer your question. Yes, the Howells do show up among the Salzburgers. Some are members of the Society! I have some in the Greiner-Griner line..
