    2. Randy Scott
    3. Hi! I am descended from one of the main old Scott families out of Screven county's past, from 1790's. William Thomas Scott, Sr was my G G G Grandfather. He migrated to Decatur Co.,Ga about 1827. Of his 12 known children 6 moved on to Jackson Co., Fla by 1842. The other 6 went back to Screven Co by early 1840's, died young without wives/children except his son, John Scott, who married Sarah Welles, and had 5-6 children. His daughter, Elizabeth Virginia, married George Thompson who died in Confederate service. John's sister, Elizbeth, married John H. Smith and had children in S/Co. William, Sr.'s brother, James, also married 3 times and had a prarie schooner full of children. Which Scott and Thompson line are you from? I am in process of completeing my Scott Family history from William, Sr. Distant Cuz, Scotty Scott, who appears frequently on this web link, is a walking encyclopedia on the line of James Scott and a plethora of other S/Co families. You might contact him also Scotti3275@aol.com he will reply in spencerian script and in iambic pentameter or at least in some fashion! He informed me awhile back that there were 2?3/4? Thompson families in S/Co ' back in the day ' Randy ----- Original Message ----- From: <gc-gateway@rootsweb.com> To: <GASCREVE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, January 21, 2008 2:42 PM Subject: Re: [GASCREVE] Screven County, Georgia > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Author: ncfidler_1 > Surnames: Thompson, Herrington > Classification: queries > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.georgia.counties.screven/238.762/mb.ashx > > Message Board Post: > > Just saw you post.
