    3. Thanks to Scottie, Ann, and Jessie for the info on the Bascom Cemetery. I have access to the book, "Footprints on the Sands of Time" and will check out the transcription of the Bascom Cemetery in that book. Jessie: the photos of the tombstones came out very well. Thanks for posting them to Find-A-Grave. I'm guessing that the people I am looking for are buried in unmarked graves, since their tombstones are not in the photos (unless they are behind the fence that Jessie mentioned). The family I am looking for is the Vickery family. One of my Joyner kin married a Vickery and I have seen death certs that indicate that at least a few members of this family were buried in this cemetery. 2. Carole Drexel
    3. Marvelous, Nan. I, too, have Williams. I worked on them nearly 10 years ago and can't remember what I found! The first one that comes to mind is Laura Williams who married Thomas Jones Young in 1861 in Savannah. That was Tommy Young, eldest son of James Young of Bulloch County and Screven County. I can't remember which Williams line she comes from in Screven County. Do you have her in your database? When Tommy was killed at the last battle of the Civil War, and she was widowed at a very early age, she married a Blitch and moved to the old Young home which later became Blitch in Bulloch County. 3. Hi Jones, I don't believe that I know very much about the Taylors of Screven County. Every time I start looking I seem to find more of them with the same, identical names and yet they cannot be the same individuals. Which is to say, the William Reddick who receives a land grant and has a plat prepared in 1804 cannot be the son of Benjamin Taylor (the Revolutionary War soldier) named William who was born in 1803. And there's more than just two Williams, I fear. And two or more early John Taylors. There's a huge headache for Screven County Taylor researchers just sitting there, waiting there for us to encounter it and crash into it. 3. Hey Randy, Scotty forgot about the cemetery adjacent to the old high school in Newington. Also, there's one cemetery right on Pryor Road, off of GA 24 and running parallel to the Savannah River before it intersects with Runs Branch Road. That's Enock Cemetery. There's another one just slightly northwest of the intersection of Pryor Road with GA 24, also. I don't know the name of it, but it's on the west side of GA 24 between Pryor Road and Ferry Branch.
