I think we still have most but I think only the Lord knows for sure plus where they all went! Later Joni n a message dated 25-Jan-08 02:59:15 P.M. James Young, Jr's first wife was an Oliver. I don't think that lasted too very long. Do you have the entire family of Col. Sheppard Williams? Or am I supposed to have that, too? 3. Hi Jones, The following is from Sonja Taylor. This particular Taylor Cemetery is between Lewis Cemetery and Bascom along Bascom Road. Dale ___________________________________ http://archiver.rootsweb.com/th/read/GASCREVE/2004-12/1102707608 There are 2 Taylor Cemeteries. One is off Bascom road but it is way back in the woods. It is on private property and only Temperance Taylor's grave stone is left. She wanted to be buried next to her Parents William and Elizabeth McGowin. She said she would haunt everyone if they did not bury her there. According to the book in the library in Screven. It was a rough going to get her there and they even had to cross a creek. Joe has been there and he says it is way in the woods and hard to find. Temperance was quite a person and had a gun that she use to protect herself with. she almost shot my great grandfather when he showed up without letting her know. Joe has that gun. I took some pictures of it. Sonja ___________________________________ Jones Peebles wrote: > Anyone is there a history of Bascum Church and Cem Info I have a Taylor Family cem is located there. 3. Joni, great to hear from you! Thank you! I knew we had done all this a long long time ago, and thanks again for bringing it back! That's right. James Young, Jr's first wife was an Oliver. I don't think that lasted too very long. Do you have the entire family of Col. Sheppard Williams? Or am I supposed to have that, too? 3. Hi Tom, Would those Vickery folks be descendants of Hezekiah Vickery, Revolutionary War soldier? He appears in the pension application of Benjamin Taylor and lived near a son of Benjamin in the 1820 & 1830 censii of Screven County. Dale E.
