I am building the Web page for posting list memeber names and the surnames that list members are researching. This page will be available to all who visit the web page. In respect to the need for privacy I will not put up your land addresses or your phone numbers. Also your name will not be listed if you don't respond to this post. I will post the information sent yesterday unless told otherwise. Here is the information that I will post to the web, and so would like from you. Your Name surname and Date range, County (Since this is for the Screven county list I would prefer it to be only Screven County, but realize that we fish far and wide will post those from other counties.) Hi list- I'm researching my DILLONs in Screven Co. Benjamin Franklin DILLON was born in 1849 somewhere in Screvec Co. He had a brother John Robert Mickelby DILLON. I know nothing about his parents or where they came from. Family oral history says that he is related (cousin) to John DILLON, a member of the British House of Commons. Benjamin Franklin DILLON had three sons, Willism S., Albert J. and Benjamin Franklin Jr. BF Sr. worked for Western Union in Jacksonville, Fl. Thats' all I know. Does anyone have any other information? Thanks in advance. Rodger GRIMM
Thanks Judy, As you send in your information include the following for the minimum, the surname and years you are looking for. If you have a first name for the primary line that would also be helpful. Personal opinion is that a list of names with out at least dates and location is not helpful, I have gotten to where I don't even look at it. so frequently my family moved through the county after the time period or before the time period someone else is researching. Then......this complete list can can be put out for all of us to print out and keep next to our PC for quick reference. If a new member joins we can just add them to our list at home. At least this will provide us with Screven contact list always available, and may even cut down on the amount of personal stuff that may come through. It also provides a nice means of references used over the years too. And is easier to put them in address book! I don't know about the rest of you, but I find it so difficult to keep up with everyone these days, as there are so many of us out here researching. > > Judy Rountree Mason > 2jv@bellsouth.net > Rincon, Georgia > > Screven-Effinghan-Burke-Emanuel and Chatham County > Surnames: Rountree, Wolfe, Ryall/Royal, Brinson, Hurst, Wilson, Griffin, Herrington, Lanier, Coursey, Foy. > > Thanks, > Judy > >
