    3. Thank you so much for your time. I need directions on how to get to the cemetary. Are we related?? Bragg, Sasser, Newton, McCoy, etc. We are having a Bragg/Sasser reunion next month. My John and Mary Bragg are buried at the Bragg Cemetary on Hilltonia Rd. ??? 2. Debbie: My great grandfather's second wife was Martha (Mat) Sasser. My grandfather's mother was Jane Freeman Waters, my great grandfather Hardy's first wife so we are probably not related. I'll get back to you on the directions. If you are familiar with Rocky Ford Road out of Rocky Ford-- you go about 10 miles until you come to a sign that designates the Woodcliff Community. A short distance beyond that on the right side is a small white sign pointing to the left that says Horse Creek Baptist Church. The cemetery is right next to the church just a short distance up the road. It that isn't familiar territory to you, then tell me what town you will be coming from and I will get you directions. Regards, Harvey

    1. Re: [GASCREVE] Little Horse Creek Baptist Cemetary
    2. Debbie, Little Horse Creek Baptist Church Cemetery is between Rocky Ford and Woodcliff on the Rocky Ford Highway. You will see a sign on the right of the road as you are going towards Sylvania, and about two miles from Woodcliff. Turn left at this sign, and when the pavement ends, you will be at the cemetery. The Bragg Family Cemetery that you are referring to is not on Hiltonia Road, but is on Antioch Church Road, and is on the right of this road on top of a hill just before you get to Antioch Cemetery. You cannot see the Bragg Cemetery from the road, but there is a "two-rut" road that will carry you there. I'd previously recorded all of the graves at this cemetery, but as I am sure that you know, my database is down. The best way to spot this cemetery is to look for a mobile home to your right as you are going towards Hiltonia on Antioch Road. This mobile home is just to the left of the cemetery. Hope that this helps. Happy hunting! Scottie

    2. Bob: Crawford Aaron and Martha Hughes Waters were my grandparents on my mother's side. She was Anna Jane Waters. I live in California and have just in the last year digging into that branch of the family. I did meet with a distant cousin who seems to have quite a bit of the Griner history. He gave me a copy of an old picture of John Hughes and Clarissa Griner. He tells me the name was originally Greiner. Let me get back to you on the other names as I have been tossing papers everywhere and need some time to straighten out but will certainly do it. Regards, Harvey (another cousin)

    2. Bob Griner
    3. Harvey: I saw your comment on Waters buried in Little Horse Creek Cemetery. How are you related to those. Crawford Waters married Martha Hughes the fifth child of John Hughes and his wife Clarissa Griner. You mentioned Cardell and Crawford Jr., two of the children of Crawford and Martha being buried there. Do you descend from one them? In doing the Griner research I have needed to contact someone in the Waters family to help me get that info, because John and Clarissa had four more children who married Waters. Anna, m: William Hardy Waters; Benjamin, m: Carrie Waters; Clara, m: Clinton Waters; and Edward, m: Estelle Waters. They must have been the closest neighbors. Thanks in advance for any help you might be able to give me. Sincerely, Bob HarvJK@aol.com wrote: > I just returned from a trip to Georgia to visit my aunt and other relatives. > It turns out she is the Chairman of the Cemetery Committee of the Horse Creek > Baptist Church.
