In recent, as in 20th century terms, my family was referred to as the "Plainfield (NJ) branch." This was the family of my great-grandfather Edward Lee Suffern, great-grandson of John Suffern of Suffern, NY, grandson of Elizabeth and John S. of Elmira, and son of Edward Suffern - the first graduate engineer Edward (there are MANY Edward Sufferns) Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
