Garvin was at one time in Red River County, TX. My Garvin's came to Hunt County. TX in the 1860's from Pickens County S.C. where they had lived for 3 or 4 generations. Prior to that they were in PA for several generations. It is my understandeing that they had come from Scotland by way of Ireland. I would like to find proof that they had indeed lived in Ireland and where in Ireland and also where they had lived, if indeed they did in Scotland.
