I only know my great-grandfather's name on that side (Forrest Ridenour) but this site has given me a lot of tips and through research, I found a Garvin--but I can't find out anything else about her. Her name was Catherine Garvin (1845 - 1916). She came from Ireland and apparently she married Peter Ridenour in 1865 in Tennessee and at some point, they moved to Ohio and had a whole jazz band of kids (William, Mariah, Edward, Glen, Daniel, Matilda and Emeline). And again, this is information that I've found here--I can't confirm its validity. But if it's true then the line goes: Peter/Catherine -->Edward-->Forrest-->Donald-->David-->Me. But if anyone reads this and it rings a bell, I would love to hear from you. Every little bit helps.
