    3. Dear GARRISON-DNA listers, It’s been a long time since we’ve posted our DNA interests and since 2012 there has been a lot of activity on the DNA front. Since creating this list, I was fortunate enough to locate a male GARRISON descendant (my 3rd cousin) of John GARRISON (my 3ggf) and have had him tested at ftdna.com. Results have been promising. We are a match to James GARRISON (The Towboat Captain) who daughter Sallie married John’s son Robert. We are close to matching the Stafford Co. and/or Albemarle Co., Virginia GARRISONS but there were a TON of John GARRISONS in Virginia in the 1700’s. Our GARRISON haplogroup is I-M170. Are there any other Virginia GARRISONS out there? *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Yvonne Bowers Listmom, Boardmom, Webmom <ybowers@gmail.com> GARRISON, GARRETSON, GARRISON-DNA "Most Wanted" http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~yvonne/garrison.html Yvonne's Rootsweb Resource Page http://homepages.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~yvonne/

    3. Yvonne, That definitely like my father's line, but I haven't found supporting documentation to prove James Barnett Garrison > James Garrison > Moses Garrison > Rev. War John Garrison.
