>Theora Garrison Whitlock. Ring any bells? Dad used to talk >about a cousin Creed) Could that cousin your father talked of bee "REED"? My ggrandparents went from Warren Co.,Ohio to Peoria Co,Illinois around 1850.There my grandad was born and his name was Reed born 1952.I have tried to find this family and found an older Reed possibly his grandfather who went to Illinois after 1860.My grgrandfather disappeared in Indiana after 1852 and his wife remarried in 1857.I have found Robert Garrison and Susannah Smith's marriage in Warren Co.,Ohio 1947 but their parents are not named. That is about all I have for facts. Jeany Roark; Thanks for your reply. The name is Creed but there are also Reids and Reeds married-in. I have to get back to you on that. Jane McIrvin, my double cousin lives down there also. I'll bounce it off her memory, too. Daphne
Thanks for the reply Daphne, I have a lot of information about the Garrisons who were in Warren Co,Ohio but can not get proof of the family of Robert my ggrandfather.Since he was married in 1847 he wouldn't have been in his parents home when they started naming children in 1850.I rescently got a census from Warren Co,Ohio 1850 that gave I beleive James Garrison with wife Susannah and a small daughter Margaret. It is possible his name could have been James Robert. The ages were right and my grandad named one of his daughters Margaret. All of the "ifs and maybes" I have are just that.If you would like more of them I would be glad to share.
