Any extra Davids you find, could be my line. Your David Ogden Garrison line if I recall correctly -- goes back to Jacob Sr, via son Garrett, so yes it would be great to have you consider participating in the DNA project. Your Y chromosone could help 100's trying to figure out it they too link up to Jacob Garrison Sr. line....Your Y chromosone should match any other male from offshoots of that Jacob Sr. line, even ones in Europe from a branch that didn't come over...
