    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Garrison Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/mEY.2ACEB/2055.1.1.1.1.1.1 Message Board Post: David- I looked at the Microfilm of Charles E. Sheppard's Garrison lines at LDS Lib, Salt Lake City, but I think you can order it to your local LDS library. It may be in FHL 441368, but see link below and check to be sure: http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Library/fhlcatalog/supermainframeset.asp?display=titlefilmnotes&columns=*%2C0%2C0&titleno=158831&disp=M.+h.+%26+g.+%5BMy+history+and+gen++ I have searched NJ >OH for early David GARRISONs since I too descend from several: David & Hannah __________, parents of David GARRISON Jr. (1789/1814, Salem Cty NJ). Any extra Davids you find, could be my line. Your David Ogden Garrison line if I recall correctly -- goes back to Jacob Sr, via son Garrett, so yes it would be great to have you consider participating in the DNA project. I need to check my files on your line... Have you seen Joe Garrison's great book, which I think is the authority on your line? Call Gloucester Cty NJ Hist. Society if you need to buy copies of a few pages... Basicly, you scrape your cheek with a Qtip type swab, many times to get a good sample, and then you do it again 8 hours later. Two vials are sent to the lab. Your Y chromosone could help 100's trying to figure out it they too link up to Jacob Garrison Sr. line....Your Y chromosone should match any other male from offshoots of that Jacob Sr. line, even ones in Europe from a branch that didn't come over... Do stay in touch... See www.familytreedna.com and read surname project reports, such as for the ROSE family (over 200 participants...)-- DNA has really helped many people decipher matters, and only guys have the Y chromosone. Thanks for looking into it!
