Pardon for asking the whole list this, but, was there perhaps a Middleton TATE?? The younger brother of Emily Hopson JOHNSON GARRISON (wife of John GARRISON, and daughter-in-law of Caleb and Sarah FLEMING GARRISON) was Middleton Tate JOHNSON. Middleton and Emily's parents were Claiborne JOHNSON and Rhoda HAWKINS. They also migrated to this same area of Alabama, with prior stops in Franklin County, GA, and Spartanburg area of SC.... I have always wondered what the source of the name was. Thanks Zou Feagin
