The other Jason Garrison was Jason Y. Garrison, son of Ephraim and his first wife, Esther Young. His mother died the same year he was born. When Ephraim married Nancy Modie they went to Henry County, Iowa and then in 1854 they went on Oregon Trail to Oregon, then settled in Lewis County, Washington. Jason Y. stayed in Richland County and died in Knox County, at home of a relative of his Aunt Elizabeth.
