    1. Re: [GARRISON] Answer to Abner Garrison Line Research
    2. Well, then, Rena, if you have done some of the research that Marie did, why didn't you give me evidence when I asked you what evidence you had re: Abner being a brother of John and Joseph and also a son of David? If you have a file of your research that shows this, I would still love to see some of it. Remember, I asked you for it some time ago and you told me the Garrison Association had all the evidence..So..I'd still love to see what you have. And ..what about the censuses of David that I asked you about, which would at least show the possibility? I am not cut in iron until I have absolute proof and someone is telling me I am mixed up and have the wrong family, and "going on" about Paul and so on. Then, when I can see that it is not going to be discussed but rejected as my being "mixed up," I tend to get testy. It would be nice to have talked to older folks in all the lines..and I, in fact, do talk to my uncle who is 80 and somedays he remember things real clearly but not always. And I listened to my grandmother intently all my life because I was interested in family..past and present..but ya know, the info from a couple generations before her was not always right...time changes things, blends it, changes colors, fades away. I was listening to her all of my life, as she lived with us and raised us while my mama worked. They give directions to research in. YOu are not, believe it or not, the only one who had older family to talk to. I am not saying family information is all bad..it's GOOD..but if it flies in the face of actual documentation which comes from more than one source, then ya gotta look it over carefully, Rena. And remember that those depositions ARE from family. If you are not from Abner, but Joseph and John, it is not YOUR family but it Is mine. We all go in more than one direction, Rena...genealogy is certainly not all ANY of us have in our lives. We all have families, jobs, gardens, friends, chores, hobbies other than genealogy....You are not the only one. So if you get around to sending me some of the "COLD" hard facts you pick up in Missouri, thank you very much and if you don't...that is your business...you can do what you like. <<Keep up your research and please do not be so cut in iron sometimes and enjoy your research and genealogy work as you go alone>> Do you mean "along" instead of :"alone?" If you mean "alone" I am not..I have a group of cousins working on our heritage. If you mean as I go along, I would say the same to you and thank you. And I will await the censuses that will allow me to check David out, as to his children. Marti
