    1. Additions - Gerrit Segers line
    2. Hi List, Here are two additions to the NYG&B Record Vol. 124 article (July 1993), "The Garrison-Gerritsen and Segers Descendants of Gerrit Segers." p.141. The baptism of another child of Frederick, son of Gerrit Segers, has been found: vii. Jan, bap. 19 Sept 1699 to Frederick Gerritse and wife at the First Reformed Church - Raritan (Somerville). I think this is online. The second addition was found by Warren Rule and removes the question mark after the name of the sixth child of Frederick, p. 141, " vi. Frederick(?)." Mr. Rule said that while studying the old court records in the Archives Dept. of the Salem County Court House (NJ), he found in the August Term 1753 on p. 382: "Joshua Garrison exhibeted (sic) into Court a petition for the children of Elizabeth Garrison of Pilesgrove that their Mother should be maintained Ordered....that Frederick Garrison pay weekly toward the maintenance of their .... Mother the sum of two Shillings and Seger Garrison One shilling and Six Pence and Joshua Garrison One Shilling..." Thus we now know that these were the sons of the Frederick Garrison, Jr. who died intestate in Salem Co., NJ in 1749 with administrator Joshua Garrison. Hope this helps someone. Phyllis J. Miller
