My problem is that I can't find Edy Garrison who m. Preston Payne. I descend from Matthew Payne Jr., through his son, Preston, then Preston's daughter, Millie, then her son, Joseph Samples, and then through my father, Jim Samples. Preston apparently married two different Garrisons: Malinda in about 1838 and then Edy in 1841. I assume that Malinda died, perhaps in childbirth. The problem is that I can't find an Edy of the right age. She would have been born in 1822. Given the close association between the Garrisons and Paynes, it is unlikely that she belonged to a different Garrison family in the same area. Do you have any information? Thanks, Sallie <clip>
