Mary's brother William was listed as 6', fair, light Hair, hazel Eyes on enlistment in Co. H of the 8th MO. Cavalry. Greenberry & Mary's family was listed as white on the 1860 census. John George's Death Certificate (I have a copy) lists him as white. Of course, that isn't proof but either is family legend. If John George was half-Native American, that means his mother, Mary would have been full. I doubt that is the case. But you never know.
