Was he visiting family and if so who were they. I have a James A.R. Garrison b:SC 1820, parents born SC. Census records have him in Marshall Co. MS in 1860 & 1870 in Tippah Co. MS. 1880 living in Denton Co.TX. Children are: Margaret, JAMES K.P., Joseph, Montry, WILLIAM, SAMUEL, WHITE & Walter. Since his children's names are very prominent in the Garrison line, I would think there must be a connection. I do not know when or where he died, although I would assume it was Denton Co., as he is not in the 1900 census I would assume his death occured before then and TX did not require death certificates prior to 1900. So other then the dna I don't really know how to trace back to his parents or siblings. If you or anyone else has any info on this James A.R. Garison I would greatly appreciate it.
