Author: Obits101 Surnames: Garriosn, Berna, Campbell, Leather, Nimmo, Davis Classification: obituary Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.garrison/3563/mb.ashx Message Board Post: The Daily Oklahoman 11-12-1940 p.1/20 Cold Claims Life; Aged Man's Death Laid to Exposure Oklahoma City's first death of the season attributed to the cold weather was reported Monday when the body of William M Garrison, 89 years old, was found on the floor of his cottage in the Community Camp at 800 South Pennsylvania avenue. Evert Crismore, acting coroner, said Garrison died of exposure. The body was found by a son, Frank, when he went to his father's home to get some stovepipe late in the afternoon. Garrison had been dead about 12 hours. Garrison, a retired farmer, had lived here about two years. Surviving in addition to Frank are another son, Edward, of Tulsa, and five daughters, Mrs Torrie Berna and Mrs Vina Campbell, both of Tulsa; Mrs Anna Belle Leather, 1007 South Barnes avenue; Mrs Lizzie Nimmo, living in the camp, and Mrs Florence Davis, of Camden, Ark.
