He was a Delaware River pilot and during WWI he trained to be a a harbor pilot in Cherebourg, France but the war ended before he was sent to France. He lived in South New Jersey from 1886-1972. Had 3 wives, Helen Roary, Emma Crist and the last whose last name I've forgotten. He had 6 children of whom I'm the 4th. Currently all are deceased except for my youngest sister, Jennie, who is 74 years old.
