My rumor involves a Southern N.J. Garrison marrying a Swedish Princess around 1700 - my line. In any event, there seems to be Garrisons of every nationality but a Y-DNA line has been established on a French Garrison named Jacob, an attorney, born in France in the early 1600's, and a Dutch Garrison, Gerrit Janzen Van Oldenburg, born near Oldenburg, Germany about 1610. If you will send me the info on the earliest Garrisons in your line, we will see if there is any match, or a possible origin for you.
