I am a Garrison by birth and have many nieces and nephews.I come from a large family of 12.I was curious as to your message because my oldest brother was in an orginazation called the CCC during the depression years.It was a government run organization and these boys lived in camps and money was sent home for their work.They cleared woods,built bridges etc and were payed by the government.I think this was for families who were poor.Anyway my brother Bill was in a camp in Wisconsin.I was born in 1941 and my name is Sandra Jean.My mother said I was named for Bill's girl friend in Wisconsin.I have met another of his daughters in the last few years.Her name is also Sandra and she was told the same story.Her mother told her that Bill had a daughter in Wisconsin.So I wondered if maybe your James could be a descendant? This is a long shot I know but if you would like to exchange some photos I would be glad to send you some Garrisons.If you don't find a family you are welcome to become one of ours.Mom always said there was room for one more and we have many.I have a lot of Garrison research but you don't have much to go on.Is your mother alive? Is James Garrison all that is on your birth certificate?
