My father was Benjamin Charles Garrison. His father was Charles Alvin Garrison. His father was James H. Garrison. I have a tree on Ancestry.com and based on their "hints" linking to other trees, it would appear that my line goes back to Nehemiah Garrison, through his son Moses. I have hit a blank wall after Nehemiah, but research continues. Of course, the "hints" rarely come complete with any documented source. I will be submitting a DNA sample to the DNA Ancestry Project on Ancestry.com next week, but have noticed that there are other DNA projects ongoing besides that one. Two things: 1. I am interested in contact with anyone also researching points along my line. I have personal recollection and stories of many of the Denton Texas Garrison's. 2. I am interested in hearing about how DNA results are shared between the various projects offering them, if in fact they are shared at all. 1. Re: [GARRISON] Garrison Indian Connections
    2. Mary, My g-grandmother was Margaret C Garrison b.1822-26 in Tenn. She married John Christian abt 1839. They were in Bowie, TX by1845. Another researher places her born in Rhea Co,TN, dau of John & Eliza (Irvin) Garrison. John Garrison was the son of Garret Garrison. Yours are the first Garrisons I've heard about in Montague county. I'm wondering if Margaret was related to them is why she & John Christian went there. They appear in Hempstead Co,AR by 1950, Colombia Co,AR by 1960 and in Palo Pinto Co,TX by 1863. We also have some Indian stories which we cannot confirm. Does any of this sound familiar? I would love some help on this brick wall. Was John killed by Indians......was Margaret raped by an Indian and had his child in 1863? Thanks.........Melba On Sat, 15 Dec 2007 12:52:00 -0800 (PST) "Mary C. 3. I just got my new high speed hook up and I wanted to use it. So I asked my Question," would it help if The IGA and Garrison II became one-?" The answers I have received tells me NO. The focas for the IGA is on Isaac 1732. The focas for Garrison II is on a Dutch ship with 40 Flemish Passengers aboard that landed in Manhattan and settled New Amsterdam, later called New York, and their history as they moved west. I did not anallize my question before I asked it. Sorry
