Other family members in this 1880 census were: Minerva, age 27, daughter; Rachel, age 20, daughter; Mary M., age 10, daughter; Emma M., age 1, granddaughter; and Chas. F. Garrison, brother, age 56. A. A. Garrison was age 49, born in Indiana, a Farmer. Elizabeth was age 55, born Alabama. This Sarah A. Garrison could be yours. The age is close, anyway.
My James Garrison, his middle name was Benjamin. His wife, Eva Kansas Kirkendall was born and passed away in Noblesville, Hamilton, Indiana. I'm assuming he MAY of been from the Noblesville area. Hi Listers, A correction has been sent to The American Genealogist re the wife of Silas Garrison b 29 Jan 1798, page 63 of Vol.74 (January 1999) in the article titled "Abraham Garrison of Cumberland County, New Jersey, and Some of His Descendants." The family records quoted were wrong. Silas' wife was NOT Eliza Ann FARMER, she was Eliza Ann BARKULOO. This is proven by the settlement of the estate of John Barkuloo, 1849-51, Dearborn Co., IN, wherein his "daughter, Eliza Ann, wife of Silas Garrison" is named as one of the heirs. The Barkuloo family proves to have also been an early New Netherlands family. Phyllis J. Miller
