    3. Here is what I have on Green Chesterfield Garrison b 1844 m Elizabeth Catherine Weaver b abt. 1848 Green was the son of Thomas W b 1819 and Harriet Scott b 1899 Thomas was the son of David b Sept 6, 1784 and Elizabeth Newby b 1785 David was the son of Moses b Nov 28 1737 and Milky Milcan b abt. 1740 Moses was the son of Isaac b abt. 1710 and Elizabeth Lawrence b 1712 Isaac was the son of Isaac Garrisson b 1685 in France and Jeanne Raganer b 1648 in France. I grew up in Mt. Vernon Illinois. We always thought that the 2 lines of Garrison living in the area were not related. After many years of research I came to the conclusion that the 2 lines merges at Isaac and Jeanne. Still more research has led me to believe that this is just not true and so I have stopped researching this line, but I kept all my research just in case. I hope this may be of some help. 2. There are more Edmunds than you'd think! I have an Edmund Garrison b. ca 1785-90 in NC....and probably from Pol (Paul) Gerritsen who arrived 1662 in New Amstel, Delaware (New Castle) son of Lysbeth Hendricksen..and presumably Gerrit Jansen ..since Paul was son of Gerrit...and it is believed that Jan Gerristen was his older brother already IN New Amstel. I've run into several Edmunds in my search but so far have not connected them. I also find Edmund as common enough as a first name. We have several Edmunds in my Edmund Sr's., line...but that is later of course. I'm always interested in where everyone's Edmunds are from however, just in case mine is NOT from the Paul who arrived in 1662. There is one in Virginia, same age and all, a]same time period....but doesn't work for mine. Sam Garrison told me that the name Edmund came in with the Cantwells, but I have not connected them to my guy at all. The Edmund in Lawrence Co., IN., was that the 1840 census? And then he is gone right? What was his age and there were small children, right? Marti

An Edmund (1748 DE will), son of Cantwell and grandson of Elizabeth (1742 DE will) -- Edmund had a son Andrew. A John Garrison received land grants in Lawrence Co, IN in 1825, 30 and 34.. Probably same one on the 1850 with wife Muhalu and son Jacob b 1849. That's all I have. Phyllis
