    3. I am researching my husband's family and am not able to find any information on his great-grandfather William H Garrison. We show he was born Nov. 30, 1863 and died Feb 17, 1935. He married Clara Elizabeth Oldfather, perhaps in 1892. They have a daughter Opal Elizabeth (Etta) Garrison (b. 2/12/1895) married to Charles Edward Hood (b. 3/13/1888). Would be interested to know if they had other children and who William Garrison's parents were. Caryn

There are children in her household: Amanda E. age 9, John B. age 8, Jimmie age 7, Martin A. age 5, Nancy age 2, and Nelson V. age 2 months. All children born in Alabama. Does anyone know who this lady is and if (and how) she's related to James Catlett?

    3. Thank you so very much, I was wondering if anyone had even seen my message. Yes it all sounds familiar to me the names. Anna Pelkey, was my G-Grandmother, and my Grandmother was Margaret Lenora Burke, daughter of Anna Pelkey and Joseph Burke. Also my Father Joseph John Garrison, was raised by his Aunt Eleanor(Nora) Wagner, and has very little knowledge of family history. Therefore I am greatful for anything you can help me with. By chance do you have any pictures of the Pelkey Family ? That you might be willing to share with me? Our you related to the Pelkey Family? Anxiously awaiting your reply. (not John T.) Garrison born about 1820 in TN. Rebecca and James had an Eliza J. born in 1847 in TN(my Eliza J was born 1844/5); also Malissa T. born about 1849 in TN who married James Campbell. On Kiindred Konections there is a Malissa Garrison <1868> m to James Campbell with children: James Sailor;Oscar;Felix;John. In my files I have a daughter Ada Campbell born to Malissa T. Garrison and James Campbell who married Ewin Medley, s/o Mary Jane Tucker and Napoleon B. Medley in Buffalo Valley,Putnam Co.,TN. I need to look in the Tucker files as Gallant had grandchildren living with him and sometimes grandchildren were living with his widow to help with the farming. This is where Rebecca Malone is listed as mother-in-law in the census. My grandmother married into the Tn Medley line, her sister into the Ohio Medley line which also has a Garrison from AR.in their files. Need to read NC Garrisons-FHL US/Can Film, #1421892 item 2 and TN Garrisons-FHL US/Can Film # 1421893 item 3 to see if I can find more about these close Garrisons in Putnam Co.,TN.

Ada married my Ewrin Medley on 6 Sept 1914. My Eliza J. Garrison,d/o Alfred and Sarah Hutchins Garrison was given Malissa's parents on her death certificate. The error came from Rebecca living with Eliza & Gallant"Dock" Tucker's daughter, Mary Jane Tucker & Napoleon B.Medley. Rebecca is listed as mother-in-law on a census record in Putnam Co., however she is Ewrin Medley's m-i-l. Mary Jane and Dock were Ewrin's parents. Yes, it can be confusing at times. I have a little more information on John T. Garrison and Rebecca Morrow to put into my files so will dig it out and see what more I can share. If your want a file on Ewrin Medley, I have a pretty complete one on of his 12 other brothers and sisters--e-mail me for it.

ROSS, and Quillian GARRISON, it states "Caleb Garrison who had a son, James Chesley; moved into Tenn., then to Drew Co., Ark.". This was made in the context of other Caleb Garrisons who were different than the Caleb Garrison which the book focused on. Hope this helps your Hardin Cty TN search. I do not own a copy of the book, but it is in several libraries- maybe check New York City Pub. Lib, and / or Clayton Lib, Houston TX., if you can't find it.

Their daughter Mary Delilah McClure Compton is buried in the Curry-Compton Cemetery also in Morgan County. Lucinda's brother, Caleb Edwin Garrison is buried in the Lipscomb Cemetery in Morgan County (close to Marshall County), her brother James M. Garrison is burined in Marshall County, her mother and father, James Catlett Garrison and Sarah Delilah Tate are most probably buried in Marshall County in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery.

Unfortunately, we have just come through a major computer crash, so I don't have too much else to give you. Sure hope you will post whatever you find. I visited Emily's grave several years ago, and do remember other GARRISONS buried near her, but just don't have any details. Emily, as we have discussed long ago, was the widow of John GARRISON, oldest son of Caleb and Sarah FLEMING GARRISON. Emily was the daughter of Claiborne JOHNSON and Milly (?) HAWKINS.
