Dear Cousins, Before I say anything, have you seen the show on the History Channel show about the Clay County Feud. They called the show "The Clay County War" Anyway, it was the worst feud in Ky. History. I am how hearing that it lasted about 100 years (From 1844 to 1941). World War 11 tended to stop it. Between 150 and 200 people died in the feud. It is thought that the seed of the feud started over a salt price war in the 1830's between the Whites and Garrards. The Garrards backed one side and the Whites the other.
