In my Maupin family it seems we Clay CO people are more interested in our family genealogy and others seem more interested in joining the DAR, SAR, Huguenot Society, etc. I have a friend who is DAR and she is really trying to tempt me into joining. She keeps sending me info on my 4th great Maupin granddaddy! LOL Anyway, maybe since the issue of James Welch's book more will be interested. I was thrilled to get to know cousin Janet Bonebrake and would not have without the book. I have yet to get a real chance to sit down and go through that book from cover to cover since I'm helping James with the Clay CO Maupins other than my branch for his next book. One thing I wanted to mention here, is that this is a very small family list and I'm wondering if there are just tons of Garrards who are not into genealogy? The family hasn't dwindled down, has it?
