I have always had a deep respect for native Americans and their customs. On the other hand, the Garrard family has distiguished itself in many ways throughout its' history in this country. You must feel immeasurable pride to be able to claim both of those heritages. Do you know who the father of your John Mountjoy Garrard was?

I believe the John Mountjoy Garrard you refer to is John Mountjoy Garrard, Jr, the son of John Mountjoy Garrard and Sarah "Sally" Johnson Shipp. Can you confirm that? My line descends from James Garrard, John Mountjoy Garrard, Jr's brother.
