    3. The only Lewis Garrard Clark (Clarke) that I know of dictated , along with his brother Milton, a book titled: Narratives of the Sufferings of Lewis and Milton Clarke, Sons of a Soldier of the Revolution, During a Captivity of More than Twenty Years Among the Slaveholders of Kentucky, One of the So Called Christian States of North America. This book was published in Boston by Bella Marsh in 1846. An electronic version of the book is available online at http://docsouth.unc.edu/clarkes/clarkes.html. I have not read the entire book but I have read the part about his ancestory and I find no mention of a Garrard heritage. Interestingly too, I did not find his middle name used in the book itself. But, like I said, I did not read it all. Hope this helps. Terry
